Sometimes dinner tastes even better when there’s no clean up afterward! We had a nice evening out dining at Carrabba’s (a mostly nationwide Italian chain). I had the lentil soup, a ribeye steak (I know, I know, steak two nights in a row–I’ll have several salads next week) with a to-die-for blue cheese/marscapone sauce and Heather had minestrone soup and the Chicken Bryan, a chicken breast covered in goat cheese, sundried tomatoes and a basil lemon butter sauce. Both were fantastic!

The one thing I must mention is in regards to the service. Our server was just fine and the staff in general is always very friendly at this particular restaurant, but I could do without the server rushing me through my meal at every possible turn. After all, anyone who knows me knows that I’m not exactly a slow eater, but yet the server twice asked me if I was done with my appetizer before I was finished. I probably should have just told her that I wouldn’t be done until she could see the bottom of my bowl, but that seemed a bit rude. Maybe it’s just in comparison to our experiences in European restaurants, but come on people–slow down and enjoy your food!

Anyway, gotta love a night out.
